About Bonnie
Bonnie and Bryan became friends the summer after high school graduation, married in 2007, and founded The Union in 2018 with a desire to equip churches to be places where people find wholeness through the restoring power of Jesus. She is the author of a children’s book, The Weight of Wings, a 21 day devotional Making a Clean Break, and most recently a book for parents, Awkward: gospel-centred conversations about sex and culture (a book for brave parents)
Bonnie finds great joy in mothering, with an awareness that the years are fleeting. Bonnie also dedicates time and space for writing, serving at their home church, and developing the ministry of The Union Movement.
She loves being active out in nature whenever possible, but she can also regularly be found with a book, a journal, and a cup of tea in hand.
General Session 1 // Friday PM
We become like what we worship
When we look into our modern cultural moment it can be easy to think that our generation is the first to deal with the brokenness we are seeing. But truth be told, much of what we are seeing now is the repetition of bad ideas that have been around for centuries. In this session, Bryan and Bonnie Pue of The Union Movement will take an historical journey highlighting how the distortion of sexuality and human identity leads to nations falling.”
Breakout Session B // Saturday 3:15pm-4:15pm
Awkward: Having Conversations with Your Kids about Sexuality and Culture
We’re supposed to be the grown-ups, yet most of us still get a little awkward when it comes to talking to our kids about sex. In this session, Bonnie will highlight how important it is for us to acknowledge our past experiences, the messaging coming at us, and the framework passed down to us from our family of origin. You’ll be encouraged to develop the atmosphere in your home so you can begin guiding those awkward—yet intentional—conversations with your sons and daughters.
